Cairns Eye and Laser Centre is a wholly comprehensive, leading edge Ophthalmology practice.

We specialize in all forms of Cataract Surgery from the simple to the complex, the surgical and medical management of Glaucoma, Pterygium surgery, Intravitreal injections for Age Related Macula Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinal Vein Occlusions, and other Retinal and Anterior Segment Laser procedures, Eyelid tumors, Reconstructive and Oculoplastic procedures, Lacrimal surgery and the management of Eye Emergencies and Trauma.

Both intraocular injections and extraocular surgery can be performed on site in our modern, advanced minor operating theatres. Cairns Eye and Laser Centre also runs a satellite clinic at the Innisfail Hospital on a monthly basis.

Cataract surgery and other major intraocular procedures are performed at the Cairns Private Day Surgery or the Cairns Hospital. Subsidized Cataract Surgery for pensioners and non-pensioners without private health insurance is available, resulting in significant savings for these patients.

His special interests include cataract surgery using premium IOL lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and trabeculectomy, medical retinal diseases such as age-related macula degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular occlusions.
